Job summary

Property Accounting Co. seeks an Inventory Clerk to support the fixed asset management program. You will assist in receiving, tagging, and tracking assets, and perform counts to ensure data integrity.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and comfort with bar code systems, PCs, and calculators. Candidates should be flexible for nights or weekends and possess a Mississippi driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 3–5 years in computerized inventory control.
• Ability to operate PC, terminal, bar code system, and calculator.
• Knowledge of computerized fixed asset management systems.
• Ability to plan and coordinate accounting for fixed asset database updates.
• Flexible hours including nights/weekends; ability to perform physical labor.
• Mississippi driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain good relationships with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, uncrating, and inspecting assets in receiving warehouse.
• Tag assets using predesignated coding system.
• Store assets until delivery.
• Assist in delivering assets to user schools or departments.
• Tag existing assets with asset numbers using indelible ink pens.
• Conduct fiscal cycle inventory.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
