Job summary

AEP Texas is seeking an entry-level data/records specialist to support Asset Data Management for Transmission Field Services. You will gather, enter, and verify data from field drawings and project scopes, ensuring real-time accuracy for commissioning and asset attributes.

Working with IPS and DSTrack platforms, you will help create location hierarchies, update asset statuses, and support field teams with data requests. Strong Excel, Visio, and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires data/record management experience or an associate degree in engineering tech.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Visio and Outlook; strong communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project prints and identify data needed for asset commissioning.
• Update IPS with asset attributes and lifecycle data per project scope.
• Coordinate print management and monitor DSTrack for overdue records.
• Support creation of location hierarchies and addition of new capital assets in IPS.
• Assist in IPS data entry, asset statuses, and commissioning actions.
• Help ensure data accuracy through QA processes and field support requests.
• Coordinate Capital Commissioning Checklists and documentation updates.
• Assist with process improvements and IPS data entry standards.
• Report on overdue actions using PowerBI and related metrics.
