Job summary

American Electric Power in the New Albany area seeks an Asset Analyst SG5 to ensure real-time accuracy of Transmission asset data. You’ll coordinate with field teams, review prints, enter data in IPS, and support asset life-cycle tracking across DSTrack and PowerBI platforms.

This on-site role requires an associate degree or higher along with utility-industry experience, print reading, and database familiarity.

Qualifications

• Print reading technical expertise and understanding of electrical principles.
• Database knowledge or ability to learn.
• Travel may be required.
• On-site role in New Albany, OH or Roanoke, VA.

Responsibilities

• Review prints and gather information about Transmission assets for commissioning.
• Update asset attributes in IPS and manage asset entry lifecycle.
• Interpret Spider Diagrams and complete Bus/Branch reviews.
• Review IPS Audit Trail and resolve discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
• Coordinate reporting using PowerBI to monitor overdue actions and metrics.
