Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking an Asset Analyst in San Angelo, TX. The role supports data quality for TFS assets, coordinates with field teams, and performs entry-level data analysis to ensure real-time accuracy of critical transmission data.

Under supervision, you will review prints, manage asset attributes in IPS, and support commissioning checklists, with a focus on data integrity and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years data/record management experience, or an Associate's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/Mechanical Engineering Technology or related fields.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Visio and Outlook; strong data entry skills and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform project print review at the start of a capital project to identify and gather information about Transmission assets for commissioning.
• Review drawings with field changes to ensure changes are documented in IPS.
• Monitor print platform (DSTrack) and follow up on overdue records.
• Support creation of location hierarchy and addition of new capital assets in IPS from drawings and scopes.
• Manage asset entry lifecycle in Data Tracker/IPS; update attributes after in-servicing.
• Review IPS Audit Trail for accuracy and correct discrepancies under supervision.
• Develop process improvements for Capital Commissioning Checklist creation and IPS data entry.
