Job summary

AEP is seeking an Asset Analyst with a focus on data accuracy and asset lifecycle management for Transmission assets. You will coordinate with field teams, review drawings, and update asset information across IPS and related tools to ensure real-time data integrity.

The role requires strong Excel/Visio skills, data entry, and the ability to work with PowerBI to monitor overdue actions and commissioning milestones. This position is on-site and offers growth within the asset management team.

Qualifications

• Experience in data/record management within utilities or asset management is required.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Visio and Outlook with data entry abilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review capital project prints, one-lines, schematics, and BOMs to identify assets.
• Update asset attributes in IPS and manage asset lifecycle data.
• Coordinate print management and follow up on overdue records in DSTrack.
• Assist in creating location hierarchies and populating IPS asset data from technical drawings.
• Support QA of Transmission Field Services data and respond to field inquiries.
• Collaborate with field teams and PowerBI for reporting on asset statuses and commissioning actions.
