Job summary

Openkrill is seeking an experienced Asset-Based Logistics Operations & Dispatch Specialist to support day-to-day transportation, dispatch, and Track & Trace. You will manage company-owned trucks and drivers, coordinate loads from pickup to delivery, and communicate with customers and drivers in a fast-paced environment.

The role combines dispatch, tracking, and operations support with a remote-friendly setup in the US.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in US logistics/transportation.
• Hands-on asset-based trucking experience.
• Dispatching company-owned trucks and drivers.
• Strong dispatch, load management, and workflows.
• Experience with Track & Trace and shipment monitoring.
• Communicate with drivers, customers, warehouses, and other stakeholders.
• Proficient with transportation management systems.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and coordinate company-owned trucks and drivers.
• Plan and manage daily routes, pickups, and deliveries.
• Assign loads to drivers and ensure timely execution.
• Monitor active shipments and provide Track & Trace coverage.
• Maintain regular communication with drivers regarding load status.
• Track inbound and outbound shipments and communicate updates or exceptions.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding orders and shipments.
• Schedule and coordinate pickup and delivery appointments with customers and warehouses.
• Enter and maintain accurate load/shipment/customer information in systems.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure orders are received and shipped correctly.
• Respond to customer and internal inquiries via phone, email, and platforms.
• Resolve issues related to delays, missed appointments, damaged freight, etc.
• Review shipping/receiving docs for accuracy.
• Maintain detailed notes on loads, drivers, shipments, and customers.
• Work with teams to resolve issues quickly and provide Dispatch or Track & Trace support as needed.
• Assist with daily reporting and admin tasks.
