Qualifications

• MSW, or MS (in a mental health discipline) required.
• Experience in psychiatric Assessments.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Three (3) years experience in Intake, psychiatric setting (outpatient or inpatient), and crisis intervention (Preferred).
• The ability to establish rapport quickly via telephone or in person.
• Must be computer literate and have excellent clerical skills.
• Experience in insurance benefits verification and admission precertification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives Helpline/Referral calls and relays information for follow up.
• Inform callers of Hill Crest programs.
• Follows up on Helpline calls and missed appointments.
• Offers and schedules on-site assessments.
• Maintains phone log and communicates with MD for disposition.
• Coordinates admission with nursing and inputs data with 95% accuracy.
• Complete admissions/transfers/discharges in the system with 95% accuracy.
• Assist in census reconciliation and provide leadership as needed.
• Ensure pre-certification with insurance companies for inpatient care.
