Job summary

Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services is seeking an Assessment Coordinator (MA/MSW) to manage Suicide Risk Screening, assess referrals, and facilitate admissions with precise data entry.

The role requires collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and insurance companies to ensure timely authorization and disposition while delivering compassionate patient care in a busy behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• MSW or MS (in a mental health discipline) required.
• Experience in completing Psychiatric Assessments.
• Effective leadership skills.
• Three (3) years experience in Intake, psychiatric setting, and crisis intervention preferred.
• Familiar with medical and psychiatric terminology/psychotropic medications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives Helpline/Referral calls and relays information for follow up.
• Coordinates admission process with nursing personnel.
• Maintains phone log and documents with high accuracy.
• Works with insurance company precertification for inpatient authorization.
