Job summary

Lakeside Behavioral Health System is seeking a Needs Assessment and Referral Counselor to conduct risk assessments, coordinate referrals, and support admissions for patients across inpatient and partial hospital settings.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, collaboration with families and referral sources, and ensuring timely, quality intake and admission processes within a premier behavioral health facility in the Memphis region.

Qualifications

• Education/licensure requirements include advanced degrees and licensure for social work, counseling, or psychology.
• Experience with intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention in psychiatric settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate referral sources and patient intake; determine appropriate level of care.
• Facilitate admission process and maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.
