Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks an Assessment/Referral Counselor to coordinate admission functions, provide crisis intervention to potential patients, and assist with department operations. You will collect data from inquiry calls and assessments and input it into the Health Management System promptly.

Ideal candidate has a college degree in Nursing or Social Work, Ohio licensure as RN or Social Worker, and 2–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• College degree in Nursing or Social Work.
• Must have current Ohio Licensure as a RN or Social Worker (LSW, LISW, or MSW).
• Two to three years of related work experience preferred.
• High degree of interpersonal communication skills with all levels of people.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
• Ability to coordinate admissions consistent with program criteria.
• Knowledge of basic computer/data entry skills.

Collects data from Inquiry Calls, assessments, etc. and inputs into Health Management System in a timely manner.

• Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CRP Certification, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and First Aid. Successful completion of Therapeutic Assault Prevention System (TAPS) prior to assisting with a restraining procedure. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours
