Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems in Devens, MA, on-site, is seeking an Assembly Test Implementation Engineer to advance SPARC tokamak test methods and safety practices. You will collaborate with engineers and technicians to plan, execute, and document complex tests involving high voltage, energy storage, and safety controls.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5 years of experience, and strong knowledge of electrical testing, hazard assessment, and test documentation.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field required.
• 5 years of equivalent engineering experience required.
• Experience with electrical testing and testing hazards strongly preferred.
• OSHA 10 / NFPA 70E certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate test requirements into procedures for electrical and high-energy systems.
• Advise on test planning and risk assessment for complex assemblies.
• Review and approve test procedures to ensure scope and safety compliance.
• Lead pre-test walks and setup validation to ensure proper scope and hazard awareness.
• Develop proficiency with SPARC Assembly workflow for test activities.
• Provide direction to troubleshoot issues and maintain safety and data integrity.
