Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems in the United States is seeking an Assembly Test Implementation Engineer to lead specialized test methods and ensure safe, compliant operation in high-hazard environments.

You will collaborate with engineering and technician teams to pre-test, plan, and execute test builds, document procedures, and drive risk reduction while upholding strict safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of equivalent engineering experience.
• Experience with hazards in testing environments.
• Experience with high-voltage electrical testing.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam or Acrobat, and 3D modeling programs.

Responsibilities

• Translate test requirements into safe, executable procedures.
• Review and approve test procedures and instructions.
• Collaborate with technician teams for pre-test walkdowns and scope assessment.
• Develop and deploy test equipment and mock-ups for training and derisking.
• Provide direction during troubleshooting and field execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrate PASS/FAIL/UNCERTAIN outcomes with clear rationale.
• Demobilize field resources and ensure proper inventory stowage.
