Job summary

Volt is urgently hiring an Assembly Technician in Tempe, AZ. The role involves assembling electronic and electro-mechanical components, interpreting technical documents, and wiring and soldering per blueprints.

A 12-month full-time contract or contract-to-hire arrangement is offered. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 0–3 years of relevant experience, with good manual dexterity and basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations which may include skilled hand work or utilizing automated production equipment.
• Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents.
• Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
• Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
• This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity

Ideal Candidate Requirements

• Requires minimal job knowledge/skills.
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 0-3 years of prior relevant experience.
• Good hand/eye coordination - manual dexterity is required as will be working with glass products.
• Close attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to perform basic functions on a PC/Microsoft office.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $19.50 - $21.45 per hour.*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
