Job summary

Volt in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Production Specialist to develop, maintain and improve assembly processes. The role involves evaluating specifications, collaborating with Quality Engineers on improvements, and driving production schedules.

You will support engineering during new product introductions and ensure safety and process controls are followed. The ideal candidate has experience with BGA rework, can read schematics, operate a microscope, and understand assembly requirements.

Job description

Exceed your potential with Volt! Volt is immediately hiring for Production Specialist in Milpitas, CA.

As a Production Specialist, you will:

  • Develop, maintain and improve most assembly processes
  • Evaluate process specifications periodically to determine if they accurately reflect the process requirements and reviews process steps and reduces inefficiencies.
  • Works with the Quality Engineers on process improvement, monitoring tools, root causes and corrective actions.
  • Drives production schedules and process related problems to closure.
  • Supports engineering and the development labs with all new product introduction and development.
  • Assists in the compliance of safety regulations, i.e ISO and business controls.
  • Provides production ready documentation (MPIs) with equipment setup and programs.
  • Leads team in making process and efficiency improvements,
  • Handles first calls in non-maintenance down issues and provides assistance to manufacturing support with implementing changes.
  • Monitors equipment performance and makes minor adjustments such as set-ups, calibrations and alignments.
  • Clears minor machine difficulties and performs maintenance and repairs under supervision of technician, engineer or supervisor.
  • Assists operators by answering questions and demonstrating operations.
  • Spot checks product to ensure quality levels are maintained.
  • Stays current working with manufacturing support on process and equipment changes and upgrades.
  • Must have knowledge and experience with all assembly requirements.

This is a Full-Time Temp to Hire opportunity.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 1st shift - 6am - 2:30pm 2nd Shift - 2:30pm to 11pm

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience in touch-up/ BGA rework
  • Able to perform job under microscope
  • Able to read and understand instruction/schematics
  • Pay Rate: $28.00 per hour - 2nd Shift earns 10% shift premium
  • *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
