Job summary

Volt is hiring an on-site Manufacturing Test Technician in Costa Mesa, CA. You will maintain and troubleshoot test fixtures and equipment, perform scheduling and administrative duties, and ensure equipment is available and efficient. Strong communication and tool skills required.

Applicants should have an associate/technical degree or equivalent experience, plus familiarity with DVMs and oscilloscopes; high school diploma accepted with relevant experience. Competitive pay and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Associate/technical degree with four years’ comparable experience or trade/military tech training plus four years’ experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of test fixtures and equipment per procedures.

• Ensure test equipment is maintained and operational.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Maintain tester, fixture, and test equipment for availability and efficiency.

Job Summary

Volt is immediately hiring a Manufacturing Test Technician for an onsite role based in Costa Mesa, California!

Skills

• Perform detailed maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of test fixture and equipment in accordance with Client's test engineering and quality procedures.
• Perform workflow scheduling and administrative tasks as needed.
• Ensure test equipment is properly maintained and operational.
• Ensure all other assigned tasks are performed in a timely manner.
• Perform maintenance tasks for tester, fixture, test equipment to ensure the availability, efficiency and effectiveness of the equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate of Arts/Science in Electrical Engineering or Technology from a recognized College, with four (4) year's comparable experience; Certificate of Completion from a recognized Technical Trade School, or in process of attaining and/or Advanced Military technical school, plus four (4) year's comparable work experience.
• High School Degree/GED or equivalent required.

Experience

• Experience with high voltage 480 volts testing a major plus.

Abilities and Skills

• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and oral, in English.
• Good computer skills, including familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to use basic electronic test and measurement equipment, such as DVM's, oscilloscopes, and to correctly interpret the results.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Knowledge of basic soldering techniques and use of soldering equipment.
• Must have good color vision, to identify color coded wiring and cables.

Job Details

• Full-time, Contract opportunity.
• Schedule: Mon-Fri (On-site) Hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PM PST.
• Location: Costa Mesa, California 92626.
• Duration: 06+ Months.
• Pay Range: $25-$29 per hour* Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
