Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking an Assembly Technician in Indianapolis to assemble, test, troubleshoot and inspect electromechanical assemblies. You will read drawings, use hand tools and measuring devices, and ensure quality per procedures.

Responsibilities include ISO documentation, incoming material handling, and inventory support. High school required with 1+ year experience in assembly or quality control; on-site work hours are 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in Assembly, Quality Control, or Inventory Management.
• Willingness to follow ISO procedures and participate in audits.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs and standing instructions.
• Use hand tools and measuring/testing tools to complete tasks.
• Calculate parameters and test finished products per instructions.
• Assemble products according to work instructions.
• Verify quantities and pack finished products for shipment.
• Inspect parts for geometrical, dimensional, and visual quality.
• Support ISO documentation and audits; participate in annual ISO training.
• Receive and document incoming materials; manage Non-Conforming material.
• Assist in inventory management and related tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, electrical testing, troubleshooting and quality control of electromechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. Ensure assemblies meet specified quality standards and maintain quality documentation.

Working hours: 7:30AM-4PM Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material and standing instructions
• Utilize various hand tools, measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauge pins), testing tools (HiPot tester, Multimeter) and other standard power hand tools to complete work tasks
• Calculate parameters and test finished product according to standing instructions
• Assemble product according to work instructions and standing instructions
• Verify quantities and items shipping out per Work Orders. Pack finished product to deliver
• Inspect parts according to geometrical, dimensional, tolerance, and visual inspections on inbound PO?s to ensure parts meet drawing specifications and are in good condition
• Support ISO Certification, maintenance of documents, and audits. Participate in ISO yearly training
• Receive material coming into the Assembly Center by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly
• Document and control all Non-Conforming material
• Assist in inventory management
• Other duties as assigned
