Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking assemblers in North Mankato for first and third shift. You will assemble, test, and inspect finished products, valves or hydraulic cylinders under supervision, using various hand tools and fixtures.

The roles operate on 1st shift (Mon-Thu 6:00 AM–4:30 PM) and 3rd shift (Mon-Thu 7:30 PM–6:00 AM) with hourly rates of $18.90 and $20.40 respectively, in a climate-controlled environment. Overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Basic reading and comprehension of work instructions.
• Ability to read English and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, engineering prints and drawings.
• Ability to communicate effectively with shipping clerks and shop personnel.

Responsibilities

• Gathers blueprints, routing sheets, setup specs and fixtures.
• Fastens parts using bolts, screws, speed clips, or other fasteners.
• Assembles parts into repair kits and moves products to shipping for processing.
• Inspects products before packaging and returns rejects to production.

Experienced in Assembly? Our client in North Mankato needs assemblers. They are looking for someone to assemble and do testing for finished products, valves, or hydraulic cylinders on 1st and 3rd shift. This individual would be following duties under the supervision of a Manufacturing Supervisor.

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-4:30PM $18.90/hr

3rd Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:30PM-6:00AM $20.40/hr

Responsibilities

• Gathers blueprints, routing sheets, setting specifications, and all related fixtures and tools necessary to assembly the products when directed.
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, or other fasteners by using a variety of hand tools.
• Assembles parts into repair kits and switches; then packages and moves the products to the shipping department for further processing
• Inspects products prior to packaging and returns rejected products to production departments.
• Learns and maintains time and production records
• Follows and monitors work instructions and ISO procedures

Skills

• Ability to read and understand work instructions.
• Ability to read English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, Engineering prints and drawings as well as procedure manuals
• Ability to communicate effectively with shipping clerks, other assembly and shop personnel.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge
• Steel toe boots/shoes required
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
