Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC in Texas is seeking an Electronics Assembler to join a precision manufacturing team. You will assemble PCBs, harnesses, and enclosures, following blueprints and SOPs, while maintaining high quality.

The role requires hands-on soldering (through-hole and surface-mount), reading drawings, and meticulous attention to detail. Working hours are 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM in a clean environment with strict ESD controls.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of electronics assembly or related technical experience.
  • Proficient in precision hand soldering.
  • Ability to read assembly drawings, schematics and SOPs.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble PCBs, cable harnesses, and enclosures using hand tools and soldering equipment.
  • Read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and SOPs.
  • Perform precision hand soldering (through-hole and SMD) to IPC standards.
  • Conduct visual in-process inspection and functional testing.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas per ESD standards.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and QA to resolve issues and improve efficiency.

Role Overview

In this role, you will assemble, build, and inspect precision electronic sub-assemblies and final products following engineering blueprints, schematics, and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong mechanical aptitude, and maintains high standards for quality and workmanship.


Responsibilities


  • Assemble electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), cable harnesses, and mechanical enclosures using hand tools and soldering equipment.

  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions (SOPs).

  • Perform precise hand soldering (through-hole and surface-mount components) to industry IPC standards.

  • Perform visual in-process inspection and functional testing of completed assemblies to identify and correct defects.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, adhering to all ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) control standards and safety protocols.

  • Collaborate with production supervisors and quality assurance teams to resolve assembly issues and improve efficiency.


Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Skills


  • Experience working under ESD-sensitive and cleanroom or controlled-environment protocols.

  • Familiarity with point-to-point wiring, wire crimping, and cable harness assembly.

  • Basic computer literacy for logging work orders and component tracking in manufacturing software.

  • Good manual dexterity, fine-motor control, and steady hands for handling tiny components.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot quality flaws.
