Job summary

Kelly is seeking Assembly Technicians in Hermantown/Duluth, MN, with DIRECT HIRE at Trainee to Level 3 levels. Trainee requires no prior assembly experience; $2,000 sign-on bonus, and eligible relocation bonus outside Minnesota.

Assemble, inspect, and install components, read blueprints, and route wires. Level 3 mentors others; weekends have a 12% differential. Benefits include 401k match, tuition reimbursement, health coverage, 100 hours PTO, and 8 paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required for all levels.
• Level 1: no experience required; 1 year related experience preferred.
• Level 2: minimum two years’ related experience in manufacturing, automotive, or similar fields.
• Level 3: minimum five years’ related experience with ability to train and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, inspect, and install components, sub-assemblies, and composite parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Install rivets, screws, bolts, and hardware using appropriate tools.
• Route wires, cables, and tubing.
• Mix and apply adhesives, resins, and sealants per instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (may include respirator).
• Accurately document build instructions and any defects.
• Troubleshoot systems (senior levels).
• Mentor and train other technicians (Level 3).

Assembly Technician

Build industry-leading products as an Assembly Technician! DIRECT HIRE positions are available at all levels, from entry-level Trainees to experienced Level 3 technicians. No prior assembly experience required for trainee level - just a willingness to learn and grow. Eligible applicants will also receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Relocation Bonus

Exceptional Level 2 and 3 candidates who reside outside of Minnesota may qualify for a relocation bonus equal to one (1) month’s base wage (taxed). You will also be eligible for the $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Job Details

• Location: Hermantown/Duluth, MN
• Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.50 per hour, based on experience/technician level (Plus 12% weekend shift differential for weekends)
• Schedule Options:
• First Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Overtime as required)
• Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 (eligibility guidelines apply)

• Ability to read blueprints and measure precisely
• Familiarity with basic tools and proper tool selection
• Experience in assembly, mechanical trades, carpentry, construction, plumbing, manufacturing, or military maintenance roles preferred
