Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE - USA is seeking a hands-on assembler for gear motors and reducers, to support the 2nd shift in DeSoto, TX. The role encompasses inventory, parts pulling, assembly, testing, wash/prep/paint, packing and shipping, with emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.

You will read blueprints, use gauges and calipers, and rotate through different assembly tasks. A 10% shift premium applies to 2nd shift; the company provides a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one, including medical,

Qualifications

• Able to read blueprints and verify dimensions.
• Proficient with gauges and measuring tools for quality checks.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic across units of measurement.
• Physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting and repetitive tasks.
• Willingness to rotate through multiple assembly tasks.

Responsibilities

• Hand assemble gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives.
• Maintain parts stock between assembly lines and assist with inventory.
• Perform repair/restock/warranty evaluations and testing.
• Wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general clean up.
• Rotate to various jobs within the Assembly Shop and adapt as needed.

About The Role

This position currently involves all aspects of the assembly process including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general clean up.

Pay Rate: $18.70 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to perform physical activity associated with operation of equipment including bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching in order to meet production needs.
• Must be able to stand and move continuously during working hours.
