Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE - USA is seeking a 1st Shift assembler to handle all aspects of the assembly process, including inventory, parts pulling, testing, packing, and cleanup. The role involves hand assembly of gear motors and reducers, with a focus on quality and workflow efficiency.

You will use calipers and gauges, read supporting docs, and rotate through assembly stations. A strong mechanical aptitude and physical stamina are required for success.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude required to assemble gear drives and motors.
• Ability to read blueprints and supporting documentation.
• Ability to use gauges to ensure quality work.
• Ability to perform arithmetic in all units of measurement.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Hand assemble gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives.
• Maintain parts stock between assembly lines; manage inventory.
• Perform repair/restock and warranty evaluations; test and service.
• Wash, prep, paint, pack, and handle shipping/receiving; keep area clean.
• Rotate to various jobs within the Assembly Shop.

Currently this is a 1st Shift position that involves all aspects of the assembly processes including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock, testing and service, packing, and general clean up.

Pay: $20/hr
Shift: 1st Shift

Top Skills & Abilities being sought for this role:

• Must have mechanical aptitude required to assemble gear drives and motors.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to perform physical activity associated with operation of equipment including bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching in order to meet production needs.

Top Actual Tasks in this role:

• Hand assembly of gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives, maintain parts stock between assembly lines, putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general clean up.
• Use calipers, depth and paint millage gauges.
• Must visually inspect all work and rework as necessary.
• Read and understand supporting documentation for the work area.
• Monitor the work area for cleanliness.
• Rotate to various jobs within Assembly Shop.

A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
