Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE in DeSoto, TX is seeking a hands-on assembler for gear motors, reducers and adjustable drives. You will stock inventory between lines, pull parts, perform repairs/restocks, and engage in testing, washing, painting, packing and shipping as part of a daily workflow.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, inspecting work with calipers and gauges, and rotating across assembly tasks to maintain quality and throughput.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications.
• Proficiency with gauges and measurement tools to ensure quality.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for measurement and conversions.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move equipment to meet production needs.
• Must be able to stand and move continuously during shifts.

About the Role This position currently involves all aspects of the assembly process including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general clean up. Pay Rate: $18.70 per hour Shift: 2nd Shift

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to perform physical activity associated with operation of equipment including bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching in order to meet production needs.
• Must be able to stand and move continuously during working hours.

A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
