Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE in United States, SC is seeking a hands-on assembler for 1st shift. You will perform hand assembly of gear motors, reducers, and drives, manage inventory between lines, and help with repair/restock and testing.

You will read blueprints, use calipers and gauges, and ensure quality through precise measurement. The role requires lifting and bending and rotation across assembly tasks; a 10% shift premium applies to 2nd/3rd shifts.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude to assemble gear drives and motors.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret documentation.
• Experience using gauges to ensure quality workmanship.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in multiple units.

About the Role

Basic Purpose: Currently this is a 1st Shift position that involves all aspects of the assembly processes including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock, testing and service, packing, and general clean up.

Pay: $20/hr

• Must have mechanical aptitude required to assemble gear drives and motors.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to perform physical activity associated with operation of equipment including bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching in order to meet production needs.

• Hand assembly of gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives, maintain parts stock between assembly lines, putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general clean up.
• Use calipers, depth and paint millage gauges.
• Must visually inspect all work and rework as necessary.
• Read and understand supporting documentation for the work area.
• Monitor the work area for cleanliness.
• Rotate to various jobs within Assembly Shop.
