Kelly Services seeks an Assembly Operator in Wyandotte, MI for a temporary-to-hire role with advancement opportunities and full benefits. The position offers 2nd shift at $16.50/hr and 3rd shift at $17.50/hr.

Shifts include 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2pm-10pm) and 3rd shift (Sun-Thu, 8pm-6am) with overtime as needed. Requires HS diploma or GED and ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k) matching, PTO, life and disability insurance, and wellness programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of finished parts for defects and assist with basic assembly operations.

• Troubleshoot equipment and resolve problems with urgency and safety in mind.
• Handle small tools and PPE as required and follow SOPs.

Pay Rate:

• $16.50/hr. 2nd shift

• $17.50/hr. 3rd shift

Shifts:

• 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm), overtime as needed

• 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 8pm-6am), overtime as needed

Requirements:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED

• Comfortable lifting up to 30lbs throughout shifts

What’s a typical day as a Assembly Operator? You’ll:

• Perform visual inspection of finished parts for defects. Perform minor finishing and basic assembly operations.

• Required to perform all duties in a safe, efficient manner.

• Accurately record data into plant’s electronic database systems.

• Problem solves alone, and with others, to resolve equipment problems.

• May use rulers, clippers and other similar small tools to complete assigned inspection/task.

• Read standard operating instructions to familiarize self with operating and safety procedures.

• Able to wear and utilize all personal protective equipment (PPE) specified by the organization.

• Perform safety and quality check of assigned equipment on a routine basis and actively participates and supports the safety program.

• Support efficient movement of materials from inspection/assembly lines to staging area for transfer to warehouse.

• Complete equipment changeover operations to ensure safety, quality and productivity are maintained.

• Maintains housekeeping standards

• Must possess acute visual acuity, attention to detail and organizational acumen.

• May train other personnel on unit operations within the department.
