Job summary

nVent is seeking an Assembly Operator Lead for the weekend shift in Blaine, MN. This full-time, on-site role leads daily assembly operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity, while promoting EHS standards and continuous improvement.

You will coach teams, monitor performance, and coordinate training to ensure safe practices and adherence to standard procedures. Weekend availability is required, with opportunities to influence Lean initiatives and operations across the site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an industrial environment with safety and environmental compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily assembly operations ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and delivery goals.
• Promote a strong safety culture through active floor presence and EHS policy enforcement.
• Conduct safety observations, inspections, risk assessments, and ergonomic evaluations.
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate training, onboarding, and cross-training for safe practices.
• Monitor production performance and material flow using visual management tools.
• Drive Lean, Kaizen, and employee involvement for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and environmental, health, and safety regulations.
