Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking an Assembly Manager to lead production operations, oversee a team of supervisors and assistants, and ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost KPIs are met. You will plan production, drive lean improvements, and manage the department budget while reporting to executive leadership.

The role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on involvement in manufacturing processes, with a focus on Continuous Improvement and safety compliance on the shop

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
• Six Sigma Certification(s) and CLSS preferred.
• 5 years of experience in Production Leadership within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Health & Safety Compliance: Promote safety awareness and housekeeping; ensure a safe environment.
• Quality Management: Implement quality control measures and drive continuous improvement.
• Strategy Deployment: Develop short-term tactical plans aligned with company goals.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage department budget and resource allocation.
• Production Planning & Operations: Plan production schedules and coordinate with leaders to meet KPIs.
• Lean Performance Systems: Lead process improvements and lean initiatives across the department.
• Reporting: Analyze reports and communicate issues to leadership.
• Leadership & People Management: Build and mentor a high-performing team.
