Job description

Job Title: Assembly Technician

Description:

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and installing parts and assemblies according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders, ensuring quality standards are met. The role involves data collection, manual and automated assembly operations, rework, fabrication, testing, and movement of materials within the manufacturing area. The technician will also perform routine machine maintenance, support continuous production flow, document discrepancies, and cross-train in inspection tasks to become SIA qualified. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, with training provided.

Requirements:

• Local candidates strongly preferred.
• Pay and per diem: standard per diem of $110/week for qualified candidates.
• Primarily a 2nd shift position (3pm - 11:30pm), with flexibility to work any shift and overtime/weekends as required.
• Ability to stand and work for an entire 8-hour shift.

Qualifying Skills:

• Proficiency in verifying dimensions using mechanical and electronic tools, with ability to initiate corrective actions.
• Skills in drilling, sealing, fastener insertion, varnishing, painting, countersinking, sealing, and sub-assembly/installation of structures.
