Job summary

Eaton in El Paso, TX is seeking an Assembler III - 2nd Shift to join our electrical control equipment team. The role involves assembling, fitting and mounting subassemblies and conducting testing preparation and final inspection.

The position offers an hourly rate of $19.00 plus $1 shift differential, with eligibility for a variable incentive plan. Shift: 4:00 pm to 12:45 am. Strong attention to quality, safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of internal switchboard manufacturing experience or 2 Assembler II certifications.
• Eaton will not consider applicants for immigration sponsorship or support for CPT/OPT/STEM OPT plans or related statuses.
• No relocation benefits offered; within 50 miles of El Paso, TX; certain military candidates exempt from location rule.

Responsibilities

• Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions and engineering drawings.
• Use various tools, such as an impact gun, sidewinder, and drill to perform the assembly of switchboards.
• Handle materials by following established procedures.
• Maintain progress and communicate problems or parts shortages.
• Observe 5-S housekeeping and safety procedures; keep work area clean and orderly.
• Perform other functions and/or tasks as assigned; flex into other functions.
• Ability to be a team player and work independently with a sense of urgency.
