Eaton in El Paso, TX is seeking an Assembler III - 2nd Shift to join our electrical control equipment team. The role involves assembling, fitting and mounting subassemblies and conducting testing preparation and final inspection.

The position offers an hourly rate of $19.00 plus $1 shift differential, with eligibility for a variable incentive plan. Shift: 4:00 pm to 12:45 am. Strong attention to quality, safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of internal switchboard manufacturing experience or 2 Assembler II certifications.
• Eaton will not consider applicants for immigration sponsorship or support for CPT/OPT/STEM OPT plans or related statuses.
• No relocation benefits offered; within 50 miles of El Paso, TX; certain military candidates exempt from location rule.

Position Overview

The Assembler III is responsible for a wide range of skills including assembling, fitting and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly required for testing preparation and final inspection. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions.

In This Function, You Will

• Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions and engineering drawings.
• Use various tools, such as an impact gun, sidewinder, and drill to perform the assembly of switchboards.
• Handle materials by following established procedures.
• Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages.
• Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar.
• Perform other functions and/or tasks as assigned
• Flexing into other functions of the business
• Ability to be a team player and work independently with a sense of urgency

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum of 1 year of internal switchboard manufacturing experience OR 2 Assembler II certifications.
