Position Summary

The Assembler III is responsible for building fiber, power, and alarm distribution assemblies and performing software upgrades and equipment commissioning in the warehouse integration area. This position primarily supports the completion of shelter builds in the hot staging area for fiber- and power-related projects.

The Assembler III ensures that products are assembled accurately, on schedule, and in compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and quality expectations. This role works closely with Engineering, Order Management, Logistics, and other internal and external teams to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Logistics Department to stage materials for assigned jobs.
• Develop, execute, and adjust work plans to meet changing project needs and requirements.
• Build fiber, power, and alarm distribution assemblies according to specifications and established procedures.
• Complete shelter builds in the hot staging area for fiber- and power-related projects.
• Perform software upgrades and assist with equipment commissioning.
• Ensure products are built in compliance with applicable industry and quality standards.
• Identify quality findings and take timely corrective action to prevent recurrence.
• Resolve or expedite production, quality, and technical issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate time, production, testing, and assembly records.
• Complete fiber testing and maintain required testing documentation.
• Troubleshoot issues independently and determine when support or escalation is needed.
• Communicate effectively with Engineering, Project or Program Management, Logistics, Order Management, and other internal or external teams.
• Support engineering prototypes and related development activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and make constructive recommendations.
• Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential applications.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Abilities

• Advanced knowledge of communication systems, interconnections, and wiring of network components.
• Understanding of ERP systems and internal processes related to assembly orders and material flow.
• Experience with fiber testing and testing documentation.
• Advanced computer skills, including the ability to access equipment software for commissioning purposes.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot assembly, wiring, equipment, and production issues.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical instructions, work plans, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and production requirements.

Required Education And Experience

• Associate’s degree in business, telecommunications, electronics, or a related field from an accredited college or university and at least three years of related experience or training; or
• An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.

Preferred Education And Experience

• Knowledge of and experience with electronics.
• Experience assembling telecommunications, fiber, power, alarm, or network equipment.
• Experience working with shelter integration, equipment commissioning, or warehouse production environments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or push up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for two or more hours at a time.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including rotating 12-hour shifts and weekends.
• Ability to perform repetitive assembly, wiring, testing, and equipment-related tasks.
