Job summary

Collins Aerospace in San Marcos, Texas, is seeking an Assembler I for the 2nd shift (3 PM–11:30 PM). You will read blueprints, use hand and electrical tools, deburr, and assemble aluminum core components according to engineering drawings.

You will maintain inventory at workstations, perform quality checks, document defects, and support engineering specification changes while upholding safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee/asylee status).
• 6 months experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and engineering drawings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads, interprets, and follows blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions.
• Operates hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
• Deburr aluminum core.
• Radial expand hobe.
• Maintains inventory of product in workstations.
• Performs quality work checks, identifies product defects and records identified defects.
• Reworks and/or repairs assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes.
• Performs all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
