Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Lenexa, KS is seeking an Assembly / Test I for onsite operations on 2nd shift. You will read blueprints, assemble using hand tools, perform checks, and ensure quality and safety standards throughout the process.

The role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lbs, and occasional travel for training. HS diploma or GED is required; manufacturing/assembly experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience in assembly/manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, and drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
• Operate hand tools, measuring equipment, and light equipment to perform assembly tasks.
• Maintain inventory at assigned workstations for continuous operations.
• Perform quality checks and record defects for corrective action.
• Rework/repair assemblies per engineering changes to meet quality standards.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain clean, safe work area.
• Lift up to 25 lbs and stand up to 10 hours daily.
• Be open to international travel for required training.
