Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking an experienced assembler for a 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) in Riverside, CA. The role involves reading blueprints, assembling and bonding honeycomb and composite components, and performing quality checks according to process specifications.

Responsibilities include operating cranes and lifts, preparing parts for coating, and maintaining accurate records of work performed. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards are required.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Experience with assembly, bonding, riveting and coatings.
• Ability to operate cranes and lift trucks.
• Ability to follow detailed process specifications.

Responsibilities

• Determine methods and sequence of work operations from blueprints and orders; fabricate, layup, assemble and finalize honeycomb, adhesive bonded and composite components.
• Prepare test samples and ensure parts meet tolerances by sanding, drilling and bonding.
• Operate manufacturing equipment, sealants, paints and coatings per specifications.
• Move, store and stage parts and sub-assemblies using lift trucks and automated systems.
