Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE - USA is seeking a hands-on assembler for gear motors and related components. The role covers stock handling, wire-up, testing, and packing across the assembly shop environment.

You will use gauges and calipers, read blueprints, and ensure quality throughout the production process while rotating through different assembly tasks. A shift premium applies for second and third shifts.

• Experience using gauges and measuring equipment to ensure quality work.
• Ability to read blueprints accurately.
• Strong math and unit conversion skills for production.
• Physical stamina to perform shop tasks and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Hand assemble gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives within the line.
• Maintain stock between assembly lines and perform repairs/warranty work.
• Inspect visually and rework as needed to meet quality standards.
• Rotate to various jobs within the Assembly Shop as required.
• Perform other tasks as requested by supervision.

About The Role

Position involves all aspects of the assembly process including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general clean up.

Pay Range: $20.10 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift

• Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to perform physical activity associated with operation of equipment including bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching in order to meet production needs.
• Must be able to stand and move continuously during working hours.

• Hand assembly of gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives, maintain parts stock between assembly lines, putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general clean up.

A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
