Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE USA in DeSoto, Texas is seeking a manufacturing assembler to join the 2nd shift. You will perform hands-on assembly, read blueprints, use gauges, and maintain stock between lines to support production goals.

Compensation starts at $20.10 per hour with a 10% shift premium for 2nd shift, plus comprehensive benefits on day one. The role requires standing, lifting, and ability to rotate through tasks in the assembly shop.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and interpret measurements.
• Use gauges and measuring equipment to ensure quality.
• Perform basic arithmetic and unit conversions.
• Ability to stand and perform physical tasks during shift.
• Able to rotate to multiple assembly tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Hand assembly of gear motors, reducers, and drives.
• Maintain inventory stock between assembly lines and on the shop floor.
• Inspect parts and rework as necessary to meet quality standards.
• Operate and calibrate measuring tools to specifications.
• Participate in general shop cleanup and safety practices.

About The Role

This position currently involves all aspects of the assembly process including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock/warranty evaluations, testing and service, wash/prep/paint, packing, shipping/receiving and general clean up.

• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use gauges and other measuring equipment to ensure quality work.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to perform physical activity associated with operation of equipment including bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching in order to meet production needs.
• Must be able to stand and move continuously during working hours.
