Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE in South Carolina seeks an onsite assembler for IG products. The role covers all facets of the assembly process, including stocking, pulling parts, assembling, testing, packing and cleanup, with a focus on gear products. This is a 1st shift, onsite position.

Ideal candidates read blueprints/electrical schematics, can lift up to 50 lbs, and operate a forklift or overhead crane. A 10% shift premium applies for 2nd/3rd shifts; excellent benefits start on day one.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical aptitude to assemble gear drives and motors.
• Ability to read blueprints/electrical schematics.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
• Able to operate forklift or overhead crane to move materials.

Responsibilities

• Hand assembly of gear motors, reducers, and adjustable drives, maintain parts stock between assembly lines.
• Use calipers, depth and paint millage gauges.
• Visually inspect all work and rework as necessary.
• Comply with ISO Quality, safety rules and company procedures.
• Rotate to various jobs within Assembly Shop.

About the Role

BASIC PURPOSE: Position involves all aspects of the assembly processes including putting up inventory stock, parts pulling, assembling, repair/restock, testing and service, packing, and general clean up. At this time the primary focus involves IG (Industrial Gear) products.

PAY RANGE: $18-$20

This is an onsite 1st shift position
