Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to join the manufacturing team at a premier local client facility in Wisconsin. You will build mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical products by integrating components according to engineering blueprints and routing sheets.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and accuracy. You will perform first-piece checks, operate hand and power tools, and maintain a clean, organized workstation while recording daily production metrics.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical and electrical schematics as well as production work orders.
• Must possess a standard baseline set of personal hand tools.
• Familiarity with shop machinery such as press machines, rivet tools, powered drivers.
• Good reading, writing and basic math to process work instructions and record production metrics.
• Strong manual dexterity and visual acuity to inspect small parts and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies and finished products to exact specifications using blueprints and routing sheets.
• Perform first-piece checks and ongoing quality inspections.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, riveting machines and presses.
• Keep work area organized and maintain tools; follow safety guidelines.
• Record productivity metrics, safety checks, and quality data daily.

Spherion is seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to join the manufacturing team at a premier local client facility. In this role, you will build mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical products by integrating manufactured components with pre-purchased parts.

Responsibilities

• Product Assembly: Follow engineering blueprints and operational routing sheets to build subassemblies and finished products to exact specification standards.
• Quality Assurance: Take personal ownership of build quality by performing initial first-piece checks and ongoing quality inspections throughout the assembly process.
• Tool & Equipment Operation: Safely use hand tools, power tools, riveting machines, and assembly presses to join components.
• Workstation Upkeep: Keep your assigned work area organized, perform basic routine maintenance on tools and equipment, and adhere strictly to machine safety guidelines and guarding protocols.
• Production Tracking: Complete simple, accurate daily logs covering productivity metrics, safety checks, and quality compliance.

Skills

• Blueprints & Technical Reading: Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical and electrical schematics as well as production work orders.
• Tool Ownership: Must possess a standard baseline set of personal hand tools required for general assembly tasks.
• Equipment Experience: Familiarity or comfort operating shop machinery (e.g., press machines, rivet tools, powered drivers).
• Communication Skills: Sound reading, writing, and basic math skills to accurately process work instructions and record production metrics.
• Dexterity & Visual Acuity: Strong manual dexterity and corrected visual acuity to inspect small parts, assemble intricate components, and safely run machinery.
