Job summary

PeopleShare by PROMAN in Richmond, VA is hiring Assemblers to join our manufacturing team. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and a contract-to-hire path with pay at $19 per hour.

Assemble mechanical components per engineering drawings, read specifications, and use hand and power tools to meet quality standards. This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a productive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in mechanical assembly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components per drawings and specs.
• Cut, saw, and punch DIN rail and terminal housing materials.
• Perform visual inspections to ensure quality.
• Package finished products for shipment and verify accuracy.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices.
• Maintain production goals and workflow at assigned stations.
• Support continuous improvement and problem-solving.
• Follow safety and procedures.

Assembler Details:

Assembler Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical components, product modifications, and kits according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Cut, saw, and punch DIN rail and terminal housing materials
• Perform visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards
• Package finished products for shipment and verify accuracy
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices during the assembly process
• Maintain production goals and workflow efficiency within assigned workstations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with problem-solving activities
• Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and company procedures

Assembler Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous mechanical assembly experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment such as calipers, tape measures, and multimeters
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of measurements, tolerances, and torque values
• Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and metric-to-imperial conversions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
