Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented small parts assembler in Miamisburg, OH to construct, test, and inspect electronic components and subassemblies. You will work on a 4/10 schedule (Mon-Thu) under close supervision using blueprints, schematics, and precision tools to deliver mission-critical technologies for industrial and defense markets.

Hours are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM as full-time permanent direct hire with benefits upon hire.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years' experience in small parts assembly or technical training.
• Experience with soldering, bonding, epoxy, laser welding, and cleaning.
• Experience in ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality environments is preferred.
• Ability to cross-train on multiple programs.

Responsibilities

• Receive detailed instructions and work under close supervision.
• Position and align parts in fixtures and holding devices.
• Perform assembly tasks including soldering, potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy, bonding, curing, laser welding, and pneumatic operations.
• Install finished subassemblies in cases or packing materials.
• Cross-train on other programs and perform repair/rework per procedures.
• Inspect with measuring tools to ensure production standards.
• Follow schematics and blueprints to complete work.

Spherion is seeking a detail-oriented small parts Assembler for one of our premier clients in Miamisburg, OH, to construct, test, and inspect complex electronic components, subassemblies, and systems. Working on a 4/10 schedule (Monday-Thursday) under close supervision, you will utilize blueprints, schematics, and precision tools to deliver mission-critical technologies for advanced industrial and defense markets. This is a full time permanent direct hire position with benefits upon hire!!

Responsibilities

• Receive detailed instructions on all work, under close supervision.
• Position and align parts in fixtures or other holding devices.
• Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as soldering, potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy, bonding, curing, laser welding, operation of pneumatic machinery, pneumatic presses, etc.
• Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases or other packing material.
• May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device.
• Mount assembled components such as resistors, capacitors and integrated circuits.
• Connect components, wires to printed circuit or route via soldering.
• Adjust, trim materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
• Perform inline testing, inspection using measuring instruments and electrical test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production standards.
• Ability to cross train on other programs in the facility.
• Perform various repair/rework operations using approved written procedures.
• Utilize schematics and blueprint drawings to complete work.
• Intermittent OVERTIME, typically completed on Fridays.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills

• 6 to 24 months of industrial electronics assembly experience or technical training.
• Advanced familiarity with wiring, bonding, welding, and soldering operations.
• Background working within ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.
• Cross-training adaptability across multiple manufacturing programs.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Practical small part assembly techniques (soldering, potting, bonding, epoxy application, laser welding, and cleaning).
• Experience operating pneumatic machinery, holding fixtures, and presses.
• Inline inspection, testing and measuring using electrical test equipment.
• Component mounting (resistors, capacitors, ICs) and circuit wiring.
• Ability to follow approved written procedures for repair and rework operations.
