Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily operations, including staffing, inventory, merchandising, and customer service leadership. This temporary role aims to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position, for a limited period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred.
• Experience in a retail environment is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and stocking according to established practices.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management including damages, markdowns, scans, paperwork, and controls.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Participate in opening/closing the store.
• Ensure secure deposits and cash control.
