Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to support the Store Manager in daily operations, staffing, inventory management, and merchandising. The role aims to develop an external candidate for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

You will assist with recruiting, maintain excellent store presentation, ensure inventory accuracy, and uphold cash controls and safety procedures while providing leadership in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Strong reading comprehension for diagrams, safety rules, procedures.
• Basic math including percentages and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of cash handling, cashier accountability and deposits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing, stock and signage.
• Manage inventory processes, include damages and markdowns, and prepare inventories.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership and act as a role model.
