Job summary

Dollar General is looking for a Store Manager Candidate to assist the Store Manager in implementing store processes, supervising staff, and handling inventory, stocking, receiving and paperwork. The role is designed to develop external candidates for the Store Manager position for a limited period.

The candidate will participate in recruiting, merchandising, inventory management, and cash controls while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Experience in a retail environment is advantageous.
• Ability to recruit, train and develop staff in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staffing and training activities.
• Support store merchandising, staging, stocking and pricing per guidelines.
• Assist with inventory management, damages, markdowns and cycle counts.
• Monitor in-stock targets and cash handling procedures.
• Provide leadership with customer service and store operations.
• Support opening/closing duties and secure deposits.
