Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
• Certain store locations may give preference to bilingual Spanish speakers.
• Ability to recruit, interview, hire and train qualified applicants while complying with federal labor laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising by staging, stocking and pricing merchandise per established practices and manager direction.
• Assist in all aspects of inventory management and prepare inventories.
• Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Act as a role model by following company procedures and policies.
• Participate in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensure safe deposit of all company funds and maintain cashier accountability.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Operate store in the manager's absence.
• Review operating statements to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Complete all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines.
