Qualifications

• Read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, and procedures.
• Perform mathematical calculations including percentages.

• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling, and termination practices including legal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assists in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assists with store merchandising by staging, stocking and storage of merchandise; ensures presentation according to established practices and store direction.
• Assists in all aspects of inventory management (damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, controls); prepare and conduct inventories.
• Follows ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Acts as a role model by following company procedures and policies.
• Participates in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensures safe deposit of all company funds in designated bank.
• Assists in maintaining financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control and cash security practices.
• Maintains clean, well-stocked stores; provides a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Operates store in store manager’s absence.
• Reviews operating statements to identify trends, labor, profitability, inventory turns, and opportunities.
