Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager Candidate to assist the Store Manager in executing store processes, supervising staff, managing inventory and merchandising, and handling paperwork. This limited-period role develops an external candidate for future Store Manager opportunities.

Responsibilities include assisting with recruiting, stocking and receiving, cash handling, sales reporting, and ensuring a safe, clean store environment. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Two or more years of leadership or managerial experience.
• Two or more years of experience in a retail grocery store strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assists in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assists with merchandising by staging, stocking and storage following practices and manager direction.
• Assists inventory management including damages, markdowns, scans, paperwork and facility controls; prepare inventories.
• Follows prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provides superior customer service leadership.
• Acts as a role model by following Company procedures and policies.
• Participates in store opening and closing activities.
• Ensures the safe deposit of all Company funds in the designated bank.
• Assists in ensuring financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control and cash procedures.
• Maintenance of clean, well-stocked stores; provide a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Operates store in store manager’s absence.
• Reviews operating statements to identify business trends (sales, labor, profitability, and inventory turn), expense control opportunities, potential shrink, and errors.
• Completes all paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines.
