Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail helpful for external candidates.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and procedures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.
• Familiarity with IBM cash register functions for reports.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising.
• Knowledge of security policies and cash control.
• Experience with recruiting, interviewing and hiring processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organized with attention to detail and problem solving.
• Some locations may prefer bilingual Spanish speakers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting and staffing activities.
• Assist with store merchandising and pricing.
• Assist in inventory management and stock control.
• Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets.
• Provide customer service leadership.
• Follow company procedures and policies.
• Participate in opening/closing the store.
• Ensure safe deposit of all company funds.
• Maintain cashier accountability and security practices.
• Keep store clean, safe, and well-stocked.
• Operate store in the manager's absence.
• Review operating statements for trends and opportunities.
• Complete paperwork according to guidelines.
