Job summary

Titlemax in Bluffton, SC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support customers with financial services while gaining hands-on experience running a store. You will lead daily operations, coach staff, and ensure smooth customer experiences in a fast-paced retail finance environment.

You’ll build leadership skills through account management, risk assessment, and community outreach, with opportunities to advance within a multi-brand network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year’s experience in customer service, sales, or retail.
• At least 3 months of supervisory, key holder, or leadership experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using phones, POS system, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama).
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle for use during workday.
• Background check required by applicable law.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job (standing, lifting up to 25 pounds).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus and may be required for some locations.

Responsibilities

• Maximize customer success by offering financial services that fit their needs.
• Assess risk of financial transactions and process loan/pawn applications and related transactions.
• Complete daily call campaigns to market services and build new business.
• Oversee account management and recovery processes, including collections.
• Maintain customer information in the POS system with accuracy.
• Provide support and coaching to Customer Service Representatives as needed.
• Perform duties outside the office, including on-site valuations and store errands.
• Leverage partnerships and referrals to meet performance standards.
• Maintain store security protocols and manage cash drawer and vault procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws; conduct audits and reports.
• Maintain store appearance and address facilities needs promptly.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Attend to additional tasks as directed by leadership; 40-hour weekly schedule.
