Job summary

Fresh Madison Market is seeking a Store Leader to support the Store Director and learn all facets of store management. You will ensure departments are staffed, trained, and operating efficiently while monitoring purchasing, stocking, sales, payroll, and expenses.

You’ll maintain physical location standards and execute corporate plans. Your role includes directing staff, reviewing reports, budgeting, and ensuring excellent customer service with a clean, inviting store environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Three years of experience in a retail grocery environment with increasing levels of responsibility.
• One year of experience in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a retail environment.
• Proficient computer skills (email, spreadsheets, etc).
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Accounting/bookkeeping skills and ability to interpret/analyze financials.
• Develop/manage budgets and delegate/direct/implement.
• Suggestive selling and knowledge of products; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Regular inspections of all areas, providing feedback to department managers.
• Review reports, take action and communicate information as needed.
• Engage in financial planning including budgeting, staffing/payroll, facility maintenance and upgrading.
• Communicate and work with SpartanNash personnel.
• Train others to perform all department activities and functions.
• Manage the selection, scheduling, and supervision of others.
• Greet all customers with prompt and courteous service.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, customer-friendly department.
