Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a department leader in Madison to oversee day-to-day operations, train associates, and maintain staffing to meet KPIs. You’ll manage ordering, inventory, schedules, and payroll while upholding safety and food safety standards.

The role requires strong retail know-how, supervisory experience, and excellent communication. The position is on-site with a focus on delivering consistent team performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; two years of retail experience preferred.
• Two years of retail experience and one year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and bookkeeping skills; leadership abilities essential.

Responsibilities

• Order and maintain inventory in the department; ensure product freshness and quality.
• Review received orders for amount, quality, count, and weight; store properly.
• Lead a team to complete stocking, production, and related tasks; manage spoilage.
• Maintain familiarity with products and store promotions; follow flight plans.
• Schedule, labor control, overtime, and payroll for the department; enforce safety.
