Jacobsen Construction Company, Inc. invites applications for an Assistant Project Superintendent to join our team managing landmark projects in Phoenix. You will supervise documentation, scheduling, cost control, and safety programs while developing team capabilities on site. A four-year degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year Construction Management or technical degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the construction and/or engineering industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, maintain and distribute all required project documentation.
• Monitors and records jobsite activity in accordance with required contractual frequency.
• Document daily construction activities and verify that "as-built" drawings are kept current.
• Evaluates submittals of shop drawings, material data and samples and takes appropriate action based upon contract specifications.
• Reviews the project schedule and assists the Project Superintendent in maintaining the schedule, as requested.
• Assists the Project Superintendent in the maintenance of effective cost control mechanisms for the project.
• Manages the quality control program as outlined in the project procedures manual.
• Builds employee skills and competencies through frequent, real-time coaching and sharing knowledge with team members.
• Lead safe work initiatives on the job site, administer safety programs and monitor compliance.
• Review, understand and monitor material and equipment budgets; identify areas for improvement.
• Assist Foremen in planning the job, ordering materials, and manpower.
• Assist Project Engineers in understanding contract documents and preparing change orders.
• Assist in development of the detailed critical path schedule.
• Accountable for all field equipment including lifts, tools, radios, and all other field equipment.
• Daily work assignments / hours may vary based on project requirements.
• Perform all other duties, as needed.
